Day 1 – Arrive at Lhasa Gongga Airport, pick up and check in to Oxygen Hotel

After you get off the plane, our staff will greet you with the warmest smiles and khaddar on the plateau. After arriving at the plateau, what you need most is to slow down your pace and relax. We will send you to the hotel, full rest, let the body slowly adapt to the atmosphere of the plateau.

Day 2 – Lhasa – Mira Pass Tunnel – Linzhi – Giant Cypress Tree Yishe Manor – Confluence of Yarlung Tsangpo & Niyang Rivers

[Giant Cypress Tree Yishe Manor]The giant cypress tree is a national level protected tree species, known as ‘Laxing Xuba’ (God Tree) in Tibetan language. Nearly 50 metres high, 5.8 metres in diameter at breast height, has been growing for more than 2,500 years, need 12 adults to hold it, known as China’s most cypress tree.

Yarlung Zangbo River: The Yarlung Zangbo River is the longest plateau river in China and one of the world’s highest rivers, meaning ‘snow water flowing down from high mountains’ in Tibetan. It is regarded as a ‘holy river’ in Tibetan Buddhism, and religious activities and the tradition of turning mountains and waters along its banks have continued for thousands of years.

Warm Tips: Remember to stay hydrated and avoid overexertion in high altitudes.

Day 3 – Linzhi – Tibetan Village – Basongtso – Lhasa

Today we will go into the Tibetan home, feel the life of the Tibetans, make tsampa and drink ghee tea with our own hands.

Warm tips: The village has Tibetan silver, handicrafts, and special products for sale; please buy according to your needs.

Batson Tso: The first national 5A scenic spot in Tibet Autonomous Region, known as ‘Tso Gao Lake’. On the island there is the Tang Dynasty ‘Wrong Zong Gongba Monastery’, a famous Nyingmapa temple of the Red Church in Tibet.

Day 4 – Lhasa – Three Holy Lakes – Yamdrok Yongtso – Barkhor Street – Night view of Potala Palace

  • Accommodation: Lhasa

Yamdrok Yongtso: Tibetan meaning ‘Jasper Lake’, one of the three sacred lakes of Tibet, shaped like coral branches, also known as the ‘coral lake’ in Tibetan.

Barkhor Street: A Tibetan-style street where locals in traditional dress perform ritual bows. You can enjoy authentic Tibetan snacks and see Tibetan-style architecture.

Day 5 – Potala Palace – Potala Palace Square – Tibetan Clothes Traveling Shooting – Send off

Potala Palace: The symbol of Lhasa and Tibet, built on Red Mountain, visible from all corners of Lhasa. Built over 1,300 years with majestic red and white walls, golden roofs, a magnificent sight.

Cost Description

1. According to your travel needs, you can specify the accommodation standards in the itinerary, such as 3~5 star hotels.

2. Travel prices vary by travel date, the number of teams, the hotel level, and other factors.

Fees include:

  • Transportation arrangements: 7-9-seat commercial vehicles or 17-seat 1+1 airline seat regular coach (Lhasa tour number if less than 4 people, taxi arrangements at travel agency expense).
  • Full hotel: basic double room (standard room, does not guarantee natural single room or king-size bed, no breakfast if bed not occupied).
  • Meal arrangements: total of 4 breakfasts and 7 full meals; hotels provide breakfast, 7 meals included (refund available if you choose self-catering).
  • Guided tour: Chinese, English or bilingual guide.
  • Sights and tickets: Potala Palace, Batson Tso, Sheep Lake, Giant Berlin, Tibetan clothes travel shooting.
  • Tibet entry formalities: entry letter, travel permit, military documents required.
  • Travel insurance: accident insurance, coach seat insurance, liability insurance (three insurances complete).
  • Pick-up service: free time-limited pick-up and drop-off (on fixed departure and return dates).
  • Additional services: one vial portable oxygen per person; two bottles of mineral water (300ml) per person per day; emergency oxygen tank (4L) in car.

Costs do NOT include:

  • Single-room difference: hotel rooms are based on double occupancy; single rooms require additional fees.
  • Room loss: costs due to room changes or cancellations.
  • Personal expenses: laundry, telephone, fax, pay TV, drinks, snacks, cigarettes, alcohol, other personal consumption.
  • Accidents: due to irresistible objective reasons like natural disasters, wars, strikes, epidemics, flight changes, insufficient applicants; the travel agency reserves rights to change or cancel itinerary with possible additional charges.
  • Tips: recommended 30 yuan per person per day for driver and guide.
  • Transportation to/from Tibet (air or train tickets) not included; can be booked separately for an additional fee.
